Privacy Policy — AfterShift

AfterShift is designed to be privacy-first. We do not sell personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

What data AfterShift collects

Data you enter in the app

• Work shifts (start/end time, shift type, optional notes)
• Preferences (target sleep hours, commute time, caffeine sensitivity, nap tolerance)
• Optional manual logs (e.g., naps, caffeine entries)

Apple Health data (optional)

If you choose to connect Apple Health, AfterShift may read sleep data from HealthKit (e.g., sleep sessions and sleep stages where available).
AfterShift does not write data to Apple Health unless you explicitly enable a feature that does so (if applicable).

How your data is used

Your data is used to:

• Calculate sleep windows and recovery insights
• Show trends and summaries inside the app
• Schedule notifications you enable (e.g., wind-down, caffeine cutoff)

AfterShift does not use your data for advertising.

Data storage

Your data is stored:

• Locally on your device
• Optionally in iCloud if you enable iCloud / app syncing (if implemented)

We do not operate our own external servers to store your personal shift or sleep data (unless you add an online feature later and this policy is updated).

Notifications

If you enable notifications, AfterShift schedules reminders on your device. Notification content is generated from your app data and settings.

Apple Intelligence / On-device insights (if available)

Some insights may be generated using Apple Intelligence features when supported by your device and iOS version. When available, insights are generated on-device or using Apple-provided private processing. AfterShift does not send your personal sleep or shift data to third-party advertising services.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

No analytics

AfterShift does not use third-party analytics SDKs.

Data deletion

You can delete your data at any time inside the app:

• Settings → Delete Data (or similar)

If you delete the app, local data is removed from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, you may also need to remove iCloud data in device settings.
